Why should I choose Youpi for my bill payments?
It’s easy to use! Youpi simplifies your bill payments by providing users with a simple payment process.
Youpi is the only Chinese-user-oriented bill payment platform that supports payment in CNY, providing users wider payment options in bill payment.
Simply pay using your digital wallet on any device without worrying about the foreign exchange limit.
As the PCI-certified payment platform, customers’ information will be securely protected by Youpi. All payments are ensured to be transacted legally, safely, and timely.
Are Youpi payments included in the annual quota of $50,000 USD for foreign exchange purposes?
No. The payments made through Youpi platform will be considered as the normal cross-border consumption of WeChat, Alipay, and UnionPay, so it will not be counted towards the foreign exchange quota.
Are there any fees?
There will be surcharge and service fees depends on the way of payment methods.
Can I pay any local bills in Canada, such as telephone bills, internet charges, and property taxes?
Youpi currently supports over 3,000 Canadian organizations and is continuously updated. If you do not find the organization you are looking for in our search list, feel free to contact our online customer service or through email info@youpi.co.
Is there a limit on the bill payment amount?
The minimum amount in a single transaction is C$1.00 and the maximum amount is C$5,000 at the moment, but you can make multiple installments successively.
What if I need to pay exceeds $5,000 CAD?
You can first check the transaction limit of your accounts. For your specific transaction limits, please contact payment method providers for more details.
If the bill exceeds your payment limits, you can make multiple installments for the bill. For example, if you need to pay a bill for $20,000, you can make four $5,000 installments for the same bill.
What if I pay more than my actual bill?
The extra amount paid will also be transferred to your biller. For example, if you need to pay your $100 Telus bill but accidentally paid $200, then the extra $100 you paid will be shown as a credit balance in your Telus account. You can then use this $100 credit for your next bill payment. For more details about the credit balance of your account, please contact your biller.
Can I pay for someone else's bill?
Yes. You can pay for the bills that are not under your name but make sure to have all the required information to complete the payment. (i.e. the account number, the name of the payee, the payment amount, and other required information) After completing the payment, you can screenshot the confirmation page and send it to the account holder for reference, or you can log in to your Youpi account to check the payment details in the payment history at any time.
What if I encounter problems during the payment process?
If you encounter the following problems:
– Payment unsuccessful: When information like the Biller Coder or reference number is invalid or does not match with other information, the payment will not be able to proceed. Please double-check if any of the information you entered is incorrect.
– Paid the same bill twice by accident: Please contact Youpi customer service for assistance.
– Paid less than the actual bill payment: You just have to make another payment with the difference. Youpi will add up the two transactions before proceeding.
Are there any transaction limits for Wechat, Alipay, and UnionPay?

If the bill exceeds your payment limits, you can separate the bill into different installments.
How long does it take for the organizations to receive my payment?
Typically, it takes 2-3 business days for the payment to go through, and hence please mark your bill due date 2-3 business days ahead on your calendar to avoid overdue payment. Youpi will transfer the payment to your biller as soon as we receive the payment from you.
How can I find the billing number of the organizations?
The billing number will be shown on your invoice.
Go to the search bar and search for your organization, click on the organization and you will see the instructions on how to find your billing number.
Gift Cards
How do I use an e-gift card I bought or received through Youpi Wallet?
To use the card, just pull it up in the email you received or in your Youpi Wallet and ask the merchant to scan the barcode or QRcode. If you’re making a purchase online, enter the card information.
What should I do if my e-gift card barcode won't scan in stores?
Ask the cashier to key in the card number and PIN (if there is one) manually.
I sent an e-gift card to my friend but they didn't receive anything, What can I do?
Ask your friend to check for an email from Youpi Wallet. It may be in a junk folder. If your friend is unable to find the email, double-check the email address you sent the e-gift card to. If the email address is correct but the email still cannot be found, you can resend the email in your order list of Youpi Wallet. Or contact Youpi Customer service.
Are there any limits associated with e-gift card purchases in Youpi Wallet?
Per transaction limits may change based on the merchant and are indicated when you choose that merchant in Youpi Wallet. Additional limits on the value or number of transactions may also apply.
How do I send an e-gift card to friends and family?
Please add your family member or friends’ information as a recipient on Youpi Wallets when you intend to place a purchase order. Or you can find the e-gift card you purchased in your pocket and click “send to friend”.
Are e-gift cards refundable?
Once an eGift Card has been emailed or delivered, it is non-refundable. If the intended recipient does not receive their eGift, please check which email address it was sent to and then ask them to check their spam or junk folders. If the card is still not there, you can re–send it to them via your order list.
What methods of payment are accepted?
We accept payment from Alipay, Union Pay and Canadian debit cards.
When will the e-gift card be received?
Most e-gift card orders are processed within 10 minutes of purchase, but it can sometimes take up to 48 hours from the time of purchase to review the order before it is approved and then processed.
Once approved, the eGift will be delivered by APP and email. If the order fails, please contact Youpi Customer service. Any pending charges on your bank card will generally disappear from your bank card after 3 to 10 business days. No actual funds are taken from your card if your order does not pass the review stage of the process and the order is then cancelled.
Where can these cards be used?
Our eGift Cards can only be redeemed in Canada. For cards that can be redeemed in-person, they must be used at a Canadian location for that retailer. For cards that can be redeemed online, they must be used on the Canadian version of that retailer’s website or app.
Depending on the eGift Card, some can ONLY be used in-person at that retailer’s store or restaurant location(s), while other cards can also be redeemed online via the retailer’s own website or app. Then there are some cards that can ONLY be redeemed online, via the retailer’s own website or app. Since every brand of eGift Card is different, please be sure to check the card details listed on each card’s webpage before purchasing it.
How do I check my e-gift card balance?
To check the balance of your eGift Card, please check the information available on that card’s description on the site by looking at the Card Details section on that page, or visit the card provider’s own website, store, or app for further info, where they normally provide their customers with balance check tools or services. We cannot provide balance checks as this information is managed directly by the card providers themselves and is usually available on their own website, in their stores or via their app (if applicable).
